Hou je van kleurrijk dan denk je vast ook vaak aan het Deense merk Rice! En hoewel ze op en top Scandinavisch zijn, maken ze ditmaal een tripje naar het zuiden. Naar Toscane, Italië,  wel te verstaan. Hier wordt de nieuwste serie servies 'hand'-gemaakt. (Op de site van Rice staat een heel leuk filmpje van het hele proces!) En natuurlijk spatten de kleuren je weer tegemoet. Mmmm...laat die zwoele zomer maar komen!

Het kan me voorstellen dat het niet voor iedereen gelijk duidelijk is wat een behang kan doen voor een ruimte. Of hoe je het kan toepassen. Zeker als je het vrolijke behang van ontwerpster ISAK tegenkomt kan je je nog wel eens overweldigd voelen. Vandaar dat ik jullie graag deze voorbeelden wil tonen voor de nodige inspiratie!

I can imagine that it is not clear for everyone what a wallpaper can do for a room. Or how to use it. Especially if you see the cheerful wallpaper designs from  ISAK. I can imagine you feel a little bit overwhelmed. That's why I like to show you these examples for a lot of inspiration!

Gisteren spotte ik op de site van Tréndir.com deze reportage over een kunstenaarsstudio in Denemarken. Wat me zo greep was in eerste instantie het sobere gebruik van kleuren waardoor de textuur van de materialen ten volste de aandacht krijgt. Maar ook de verlichting is subliem. Door het hele huis wordt gebruik gemaakt van de lampen van &Tradition die alle net zo simpel en eenvoudig zijn in hun vormentaal als de vormgeving voor de rest van de woning. Maar ook pakkend zijn voor het maken van een ruimte. (Top vind ik ook de gekleurde lampen boven het kinderbedje. Hoe eenvoudig wil je het hebben?!)

Yesterday I spotted on the site of Tréndir.com this article about an artist's studio in Denmark. What took me so, at first, was the use of sober colors which gives the texture of the materials the most attention. When I looked further I saw that also the lighting is superb. Throughout the house are used &Tradition lighting. Lamps as simple and straightforward in their design as the design for the rest of the apartment. But also as effectively that they can make a room. (Top, I also find the colored lights above the cot. How easy do you want it?!)

Onlangs verscheen in het Noorse blad Bonytt een reportage over de keuken van de Noorse agente van House Doctor - Tina Sand. Ik moet zeggen dat het niet echt een Noorse uitstraling heeft. Maar des al niet te min zijn het heerlijke beelden om het weekend mee in te gaan!

Waarschijnlijk kan iedereen zich wel inmiddels de Polder-sofa voor de geest halen die 'onze Hella Jongerius samen met Vitra ontwikkelde. Die leuke bank met de verschillende kussens en stoffen die zo goed ons landschap weergeeft. Deze week wordt hij gepresenteerd op de Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milaan met een geheel nieuw jasje. Samen met het stoffenhuis Maharam ontwierp Jongerius de stoffencollecties Layers en Borders die de bank een bijna exotische uitstraling geven. Hmm... misschien een goed idee voor ons hele landschap...!

Now a days probably everyone knows the Polder-sofa that 'our' Hella Jongerius developed together with Vitra. That nice couch with pillows and fabrics that best reflect our landscape. This week he is presented at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan with an entirely new look. Together with fabric manufacturer Maharam Jongerius designed the fabric collections Layers and Borders that gives the couch an almost exotic look. Hmm ... might be a good idea for our whole country ...!

Een merk waar ikzelf heel vrolijk van wordt is het Deense Rie Elise Larsen. Niet alleen haar producten zijn om heerlijk van te genieten, maar ook naar haar video's kan ik uren kijken. Het zijn simpele korst filmpjes waarin ze laat zien wat er mogelijk is met haar eigen producten. Om meteen zelf aan de slag te gaan!

A brand that makes me very happy is the Danish Rie Elise Larsen. Not only are the products lovely to watch and enjoy, but I also can watch her videos for hours. They are simple and short movies in which she shows what is possible with her own products. I want to start right away!
